MDAC is a usb 1.1 device which requires a "transaction translator"
function to support it on a usb2 port. Unfortunately the usb port on
Touch (and many other ARM based processors) has a limited functionality
transaction translator which doesn't work well with async dacs. Adding
the high speed hub adds a real transaction translator and makes it
work.. [usb2 dacs don't need this as they don't need translation]

This should now be fixed, but the dac needs to be turned on when the
Touch is started. You should be able to turn it off while leaving the
touch running though.
