I'm almost certain these files have ARTISTSORT or ALBUMARTISTSORT tags. Download mp3tag, open files in mp3tag, select a file, right click, then select 'extended tags'. This will show you tags that you may not realize you have (including above). You can simply delete those tags at this point by selecting the field and hitting the red X in the extended tags popup. You can load up ALL your files and do a batch delete of this field if you choose.
