Hello everyone! First, I would like to address a big THANK YOU to Triode for an great app I've been using since it's been released!
I tried many DAC with the SBT and all of them worked except two: - The Resonessence Labs Concero which I just received - The Asynchronous firmware of my Audio-GD DAC featuring the VIA VT1731 receiver (NFB-27, Reference 5.32) The Audio-GD works flawlessly with the #3 firmware that features *adaptive mode*. I tried various DAC featuring the Tenor 7022L chip (Fostex HP-A3, Audio-GD NFB-3.1) in *adaptive mode*: they worked flawlessly as well. So far, the only USB interface that I managed to get working in Asynchronous was the Stello U3 (X-MOS). It had one issue: the U3 must be powered *before* (and, of course, during) the boot of the SBT, otherwise the LED stayed red (no sync). Once the SBT properly booted, I could unplug/plug the Stello U3 and it worked flawlessly. So each time I moved my SBT (power off), I had to get a powered hub to power the U3 before booting the SBT. That's not really convenient but a minor issue nonetheless. The Audio-GD in async mode outputs sound, but it is choppy and heavily distorted, as if some samples were mixed between channels. I managed to get it work properly only once (luck) but never could have it working properly after that. I have no problem in adaptive mode. Then comes the Concero. I don't know what USB receiver it uses (if any). I know it has FPGA for processing duty. Maybe it does implement the USB receiver? Pretty much like in the X-MOS. The Squeezebox recognize the Concero and the status says: -Status: Running Speed: High Connection: Direct Type: Async Frequency: 48281 Hz Feedback: none Interval: 250u - Anyone experienced something similar? I tried with a powered hub with no success. I noticed that the Resonessence Invicta has some issues with the SBT as well (on the compatibility list). Also, I read everywhere one should update to kernel #14. Where can I find this one? On the applet installer, I get a version 8 of EDO and no specifications regarding the kernel. Thanks :) Clem ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Clemmaster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59388 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
