well an easier way is not to use the USB and use S/PDIF coax or OPTICAL
out of the Touch into the Oppo.  Then you wouldn't need to reboot the
TOUCH to select digital out (as always on anyhow). It is only the use of
the EDO/USB that requires your reboot evidently.  And by the way, my
personal opinion is that trying to use the USB out of the touch is much
ado about nothing.  With a decent DAC, the s/pdif coax or optical out of
the TOUCH works perfectly (and is the way it was designed to work). 
It's great that  triode created EDO to work with USB dacs and handle
24/192, but USB certainly not necessary when you have other options
(optical or s/pdif coax).
