Hi I'm trying to use one of my Squeezebox Touch devices "remote" on the internet. I found out this possibility was in Settings>Advanced>Networking>Remote Libraries (Already using my server that way from Android devices).
It seems to work pretty well, except for one very annoying disturbance. Exactly every 10th second, I see a quick flash of the "waiting wheel" saying "Connecting to [my LMS name]" on my SB Touch. Not only is this annoying and distracting when device is in line of sight, it also interrupts any handling I might be doing on the touch display, and sometimes making me hit the wrong menu item. Music streams plays nice and without interruptions, and besides the annoying flash every 10 sec. I have no problems operating the device. I assume it must be a little extra delay somewhere when connected to my LMS over the internet that triggers the message. But can't I get rid of this "flickering message" somehow? As I sad, handling seems to be nice except for this very short interruptions. /Stig Nygaard http://www.rockland.dk http://www.last.fm/user/rockland http://www.discogs.com/user/StigNygaard <-- Now also on Discogs https://plus.google.com/105584766690422580666 Server: LMS 7.8.0-1382017549 (20131019) on ReadyNAS Ultra 2 Controller/players: Squeezebox Classic, 2x Squeezebox Touch, 2x OrangeSqueeze/SqueezePlayer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stig Nygaard's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100294 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
