thanks mario. the 93 i own is not connected to my 2 channel standalone system. my current 2 channel system has a SBT connected to an emotiva XDA-1 DAC via digital coax and it sounds great. for blu-ray audio and blu-ray concerts i'm currently using an oppo 83. i am thinking about the 105 in my 2 channel system because i do want to listen to DSD streamed but the current DAC doesn't support DSD. i know the 105 supports DSD streaming via ethernet and yeah, i could do that no problem as i have a NAS. my question was brought up because i have a 93 connected to my HT system and the interface when using the network feature to stream audio (non DSD audio) is slow. i have heard that the 105 interface for network streaming is a lot quicker now in relation to the 93. i was wondering if anyone had one and if it's internal interface is faster than using a SBT via an app. if they were about the same speed, i would simply use the 105. when i use the SBT via squeezepad, it's lightining quick. also, the digital inputs (optical/digital coax) are limited to 96/24 on the 105, however, the USB is good to 192/24. i was also curious if the SBT could pass DSD to a DAC that supported it. according to you the 105 doesn't support DoP via USB. of course if the SBT interface was a lot faster than the 105 i could simply use it for my FLAC & other formats (which make up the majority of my music) and use the 105 interface for DSD streaming only. i was trying to understand my options before buying and finding out the hard way that something doesn't work like i thought it would. also, the DAC on the 105 is, for the money, hard to beat. also, i could use it as a pre-amp and connect it directly to a XLR enabled amp and i'm rolling. thanks for your response buddy. also, thanks to everyone who has and will respond. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ solarrdadd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56530 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
