Pale Blue, you did note initially that "I'm trying to play 24/96 needledrops that I've listened to dozens of times with the SB3 and Roku2. The Touch plays 24/48 files without a problem, but when fed 24/96". with the SB3 (and I'm guessing the Roku2), since the SB3 can only handle 24/48, LMS was converting the 24/96 files to 24/48 on the fly. So the fact that the DAC worked with the SB3 doesn't mean that the DAC can actually handle 24/96. With the TOUCH, LMS is *not* converting the files to 24/48 and is feeding the 24/96 files to the DAC. I'm suspecting the DAC as well. To test, can you connect a laptop running something like foobar2000 to play the 24/96 files through your DAC? What is the make/model of your DAC? *Location 1:* VortexBox 4TB (2.2) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Location 2:* VBA 3TB (2.2) > LMS 7.7.2 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.8 > SqueezePlay *Spares:* VBA 4TB, SB3, Touch (3), Radio (3), CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone4S (iPeng), iPad2 (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Tagging - mp3tag, Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100670 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
