Just to follow up on this issue, which apparently still exists... After having the same horrible screech when transitioning between 44 and 48KHz sample rates for both my touch (for both digital and analog output), UE radio and radio, it finally dawned on me that the problem is with the crossfade feature. Logitech should really add a quick check in the crossfade code to verify whether the sample rate is the same, and if not disable the crossfade for that transition. Otherwise the listener's suffering is quite legendary.
