Interesting if it's reencode it usually adds that info to that line " converted to ..." have they simply removed that info ? It must re encode in both cases and downsample in one case ? I can not make a stock touch to accept 24/96 alac I just get white noise . Disable all settings in alac except native and se if it still works . Don't forget to press apply when making those settings and for good measure restart LMS . Yes the web-UI won't tell , the server.log does if you use debug .
