Yes, this is still true because of missing hot plugging. You could use
such a master-slave power strip with the CP-800 as master switching on
before the "slave" SBT. In my case, I like to use the SBT as "clock" in
idle mode. It means the SBT is always switched on. The solution to me to
avoid the hot plugging issue (and also for DSD128 playback and DoP
on-the-fly) was installing http://www.daphile.com/#overview on a small
fanless/noiseless nettop. The SBT in my setup is working now just as a
display (I surprisingly could choose the USB DAC as extern player in the
SBT's menu)
