OK I have checked all the ethernet cables connected (in)directly to the
touch and still get connection errors. In fact the first time I tried
changing a ethernet cable I got this message on the screen
> Connection Problem
> We can't detect a wired connection, Please check your ethernet cable and
> make sure your network is running and available .
Od thing about this message is the Touch played for at least a half an
hour (Local music) with the message on the screen. Eventually I managed
to get rid of the message.
Today I have been listening to MySqueezebox.com and a similar occurence
happened. I got this message with no interruption of Folk Alley which
just continued to play
> There is a problem connecting to MySqueezebox.com
> -->Try Again
> -->Switch Library
While this screen was up the remote did not function (tried another
remote same result) and I could not choose either option, shut off or
pause or any other remote command I tried. Eventually I reset the Touch
from the button on the back and it returned to normal.
My next step is to follow Stratmangler's suggestion and do a factory
reset on the Touch.
The other thing that seems to occur periodically is the volume levels
change (to much higher levels) without any intervention on my part.:(
