OK :) then you may be interested in this bug http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17163 vote on it for some reason this bug has fallen of the radar ,most devs cc'ed in the list are fired so no one owns the problem any more 16/44 aiff works fine 24/96 dont work natively with or without EDO . You set the server to transcode (easy) or edit the perl script per Triodes patch in the bug (fiddly has to be repeated every upgrade ) . You have one of the more powerfull Synology statiosn so it should support transcoding . My point is that the Touch would not know the difference so if it works with EDO and 24/192 FLAC it should also work if the server transcodes an 24/192 AIFF to FLAC . You can test my assumption by trying it out .
