I am a newbee to this forum so if this has come up before please forgive me. I have recently changed my old iMac for a new one (both running under Yosemite). Unlike on my old computer I have unexpectedly found that when I do a scan for new media, after adding music (or have carried out changes to the playlists in iTunes), the changes do not appear on the server. In other words it would appear that the Media Library Scan has not worked.
The strange thing however is that, after the scan, any new music that have put in iTunes _does_ appear under the 'New Music' setting and can be played. However, if I then look for the same music etc under 'Playlists', 'Artists' or 'Albums' it is nowhere to be found! It seems to make no difference whether I only scan for 'new or changed media', 'clear library and rescan everything' or 'only rescan playlists' the result is the same. I am presently running two SqueezeboxTouch servers from my computer. I have tried installing two different versions of LMS 7.9 and have finally gone back to using 7.8.1 without success (even after carrying out a clean install).
