Got my 2nd hand SBT working (Firmware: 7.8.0-r16754), but, I was wondering what it would sound like via USB to my Amp/Dac (model 651A). This amp has a DAC built in. Checked the list in the EDO thread and it is not mentioned.
Here's what the manual says -'The 651A is USB 1.1 (Full-speed) USB port compatible and support USB Audio 1.0, which works with nearly all common operating systems(Windows XP, Vista or 7) computer types without drivers and allows 16 bit audio at 32kHz, 44.1kHz and 48kHz to be received-." 1. I know this is CD quality only. Is it possible? I guess I need the EDO plugin right? 2. If I add the Plugin and it doesn't work for some reason, do I need to uninstall? Or can I leave it and switch to analogue? 3. If I do choose to uninstall, the 1st post says 'to force a firmware upgrade'? How do I do this? Does this mean download a later version of LMS? Or have I got this wrong?
