Can't the Touch be connected to the same vpn proxy or whatnot you used
to get the kernel file separately ?

But in theory you are rigth it is probably possible to load kernel files
manually somehow . During the dev of SqueezeOS there must have been
plenty of that , but I don't know and no one else have come forth with
that knowledge .

Maybe some forums for these mini Linux developments or router OS
development is a good place . Or even a general Linux forum can give
hints about loading kernel modules ?
