Oh yes CD quality in engineer lingo is 2ch 16 bit 44.1 kHz . Very precise .
"cd quality" as marketing fluff or audiophile nonsense can be just anything . But I think on audio forum CD quality can unambiguously be assumed as 16/44.1 audio . In marketing it has even been abused to sell cassette tapes ?
