I take it you are running iOS... I have been using Orange Squeeze for Android regularly for a few years now with a local LMS ecosystem, and while it has some quirks, it is in my opinion, still the best controller app out there... The down side is that I don't think it is still being developed... So it is certainly possible that it may have compatibility issues going forward...
