That is precisely my setup and it works fine for me. Make sure squeeze.exe is in the exceptions list for both Firewall and AVG. Might also make sure LMS is running as Admin user (seems to be an issue more with Win 10, but can't hurt to try). I've never messed with DNS or even fixed/static IP's for anything SqueezeBox.
