Hmm. All of those things being true it is starting to look as if the problem lies in the DAC not handling DoP (shame as I thought that was pretty standard now), or my settings being completely screwed-up, which is also possible. A recap: To pass the DSD from LMS 7.9 with DSD plugin: I should set the following file types ettings? DFF DFF - disabled DFF FLAC - dsdplay DSF DFF - disabled DSF FLAC - dsdplay No other dsd related filetype settings availabe On the touch player settings: Volume fixed at 100% Never quite sure if DoP should be checked or not to have the stream passed through as DoP. The "i"nformation mouseover is a little confusing. Do I need do set SoxR partameters and if so which should ne used to make sure the stream is packed correctly into 24 bit (max 192kHz) PCM Also, according to the following table, DSD and frquencies over 192kHz are handled over USB only, while up to 192 can alos be fed over s/pdif. http://d250ptlkmugbjz.cloudfront.net/info/IMG/jpg/SMSL_SANSKRIT_HIRES_TABLE.jpg Maybe I should try feeding the DoP signal over COAX or Toslink instead of USB??? There is still a glimmer of hope as when I was messing about with the settings and kernels, I did hit one combination that did seem to play the file very faintly. I will try to find it again, note the settings and use it as a starting point for further tweaks BR. --Marius-- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learnincurve's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64807 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
