First install LMS on your Windows system and make sure it is working (i.e. you can play your usual stream on your player using LMS WebUI). I don't use Windows normally (I have test XP and Win7 systesm) and my installation is not "normal" so you'll have to follow the instruction in the Wiki link I posted.
