I have just been playing around with the SBT and switching between software versions with EDO on the SBT.
Not a problem with EDO as I had enabled "Reinstall after Firmware Update" in settings, it just took a bit longer to come up with the extra restarts. Anyway, all the messing finally resulted in frozen screens so I did a Factory Reset and enabled EDO again whilst still connected to MySqueezebox and software v7.3.3. Using the LMS web gui on my Desktop I reconnected the SBT to my local LMS, latest 7.9.2.. Selected Radio Paradise flac and it played fine (bitrate 900k BVR Flac) on software v7.3.3.. When I touched the SBT screen to go from Now Playing to Home it gave me a locked screen that would only go to updating the software to v7.8.0.. So maybe, it is possible to control the SBT whilst it is on software v7.3.3 and connected to the local LMS if one uses either a tablet, phone or web gui. I might try that tomorrow (or not:)).
