So this how I set up my SBT with a USB dac: With the dac connected to the SBT Go to Settings>Advanced>Applet Installer>Enhanced Digital Output, select the version 0.10. On restart there is the choice of two outputs, choose the dac and the SBT reboots. To check installation: go to Settings>Advanced>Audio Settings>Digital Output>Select Audio Output, select USB-Audio [info]. Return to the previous screen Select Fixed Volume>check it is set at 100% If you have followed this routine and have no joy, then it does seem likely that you are correct with your assumption that the dac does not work the the SBT.
