Yes that file now has ID3v2.3 tag instead of the 2.4 tag you previously reported.
Itunes wont play flac files. There are other players that will run on a Mac that will, but if you prefer iTunes you cant use flac. But yes, for squeezeboxes and LMS I find that flac files are best for lossless files. Perhaps you can maintain two libraries, one flac for squeezeboxes and a second for iTunes. In my own case, I have flac files for my home system. I maintain a mirror library of lossy mp3 files and use iTunes for loading those on to my iPhone or ipad for portable use. *Home:* VBA 4TB (2.4)>LMS 7.9.1>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (ethernet) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.4)>LMS 7.9.1>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>LMS 7.9.2>Squeezelite *The Wild (no internet): *PiCorePlayer 4.0 on rPi 3B+, hifiberry Dac+Pro, 4TB USB (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpa > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109917
