Yes I think I will just stick with Fading turned off. Now I did modify
the firmware of both Touches a while back to accommodate a Custom Clock
Helper template I had created. However one Touch had that modified
firmware for over a year without issue. Looking at the server log there
is an ERROR message at the time of the noise related to Custom Clock
Helper (see first post) so that could be the issue
