Look ere, in a previous life, did someone not say of you *"Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?"* :confused: It was/is a combination of using the remote and pressing the Big selection button on the front of the DX3Pro. I see that your one doesn't have the button, so should be fine. When I first had the DX3Pro I was given some incorrect info from a retailer (who (at the time I asked) knew as much about as myself).
