Hello!
I fixed the same media player some time ago.
This device has no power input protection. If you connected more than 6
volts, the player dies ((

After replacing the U25, you got a strong warming up of the processor
and voltage regulator.

You have made a mistake in identifying the U25 chip. This chip powers
the processor core. And 3.5 volts is a strong overvoltage. The maximum
voltage is 1.5 volts.

Marking 4B407 is XC9235A14?MR 1.4v 600mA

This chip is difficult to buy.
I applied adjustable LM3671MF-ADJ with the replacement of the R212
resistor, for 1.4v output.
Factory values: R212 0R and R213 30K.

I will also give a list of chips that I could identify.

U27 3VE0B XC6221A152MR 1.5v 200mA
U28 3VT0H XC6221A252MR 2.5v 200mA
U26 0B2 XC6210B332MR 3.3v 700mA
U25 4B407 XC9235A14?MR 1.4v 600mA CPU CORE
U24 4B80D XC9235A18?MR 1.8v 600mA DDR
U16 0B2 XC6210B332MR 3.3v 700mA
U?? 0B9E XC6210B40 4.0v 700mA
U?? 3A269 XC6221A332 3.3v 200mA
U?? 3A903 XC6221A40 4.0v 200mA
U?? 9BMH XC6212A502MR 5.0v
