As a test, once I got the Touch connected to my Wi-Fi I left it on a radio station to stream overnight. It has been running for 9.5 hours. Assuming the Touch uses more power while operating than in standby mode, I am going to conclude it likely means the power supply is okay.
Past observations it appears while in standby mode, the Wi-Fi will disconnect after a perhaps few hours, but I really don't know because I am not watching it. strange behavior.
