Yeah, we're slackers with regard to that stuff :)  Again thanks for 
the reminder.

I'll have to figure that out in detail to put in the change log for 
the new build... offhand, aside from bug fixes, minor feature 
changes, and general tweaking, the big deals are:

1.  Transaction support.  Confusingly, Serge and I implemented two 
different ways of dealing with transactions, and they're both present 
in the current code base.  They both work and don't interfere with 
each other.  If this is important to you I can forward some emails 
about how to use them.  We were hoping to get this ironed out before 
doing a release, to avoid user confusion, which is one reason for the 
delay so far.

2.  Connection pooling has been completely rewritten (the old one was buggy).

That's generally a good thing to be concerned about, but in this 
case, fortunately, the default ("MAIN" or "HEAD") branch is fine.
