I dont know much about makefiles but i have been reading that the posix
standards were updated (could have been a year ago i dont remember when)
and now IF bsd and gnu makes both support posix currently there should be a
*Right* way to do it for both at the same time? I read that BSD has reduced
features compared to gnu, so if a shell script is written i would imagine
it needs to be designed for bsd and tested on gnu?

perhaps someone who uses bsd could run a autoconfig on it and a gnumakefile
and bsdmakefile could be maintained independently within the musl project?

Im just thinking out loud but if i see anything that looks like a solution
while researching what to do about elftoolchain i will let you know.
