It's one of those "the decision is hard because the stakes are small" things. :P
The actual help editing part is already checked in and working. It was the historical behavior: not doing it when I switched the help.h generation over was a regression. I did think about just leaving (the "I could always just document" part of https://landley.net/notes-2025.html#10-04-2025) but having the help text describe the command's behavior seems like the right thing to do, and documenting PASSWD_SAD when it's not configured in would silently fail to enforce a constraint without error.
That said, I only implemented one layer of optional help text because I'm not supporting _more_ than that...
