My clutch is messed up. Sometimes it will grab and won't release with the pedal, and the other times it will slip like crazy. From my limited understanding of clutches, my guess is that either the pressure plate or clutch release fork has some problems. Does anybody have suggestions on a new clutch to use? Should I just stick with OEM or go with something aftermarket? Also, since my tranny is off and its having 5th gear popout problems, I'm going to repair or replace it. It is currently the pre-87 C50, and I'm thinking of switching to the post-87 C52. IIRC the C52 is stronger and has two spots for a starter. Are there any issues I need to know about when putting a C52 in a car not originally equipped with one? Also, does anybody know where I can get a used C52?
