Category: None Group: Code Status: Open Priority: 9 Private: No Submitted By: Jure Repinc (jrepin) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Implement MTSec game in one server Initial Comment: Currently Thousand Parsec servers only implement a very simple game we call MiniSec. To make the game more interesting and challenging a more complex game needs to be implemented in any of the servers. The rules and properties of this new game are already defined in a game we call MTSec (short for Missile and Torpedo Wars). See MTSec documentation for more info: http://www.thousandparsec.net/tp/dev/documents/mtsec.php ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Lee Begg (llnz) Date: 2007-03-13 23:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=82757 Originator: NO I wouldn't even call tpserver-cpp's implementation "partial". I have slowly been adding little bits to it. It's not so much the old rules, but more that some of the basic and underpinning parts are done. I haven't tried playing it yet. MTSec is a *much* bigger and more complicated game than minisec. That said, it's not not even close to the complexity of the games we may have in future... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Tim Ansell (mithro) Date: 2007-03-12 22:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=18538 Originator: NO The tpserver-cpp has a partial implementation for the old rules. See http://darcs.thousandparsec.net/darcsweb/darcsweb.cgi?r=tpserver-cpp;a=tree;f=/modules/games/mtsec It's probably very out of date and doesn't work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=829724&aid=1678819&group_id=132078 _______________________________________________ tp-bugs mailing list [email protected] http://mail.thousandparsec.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tp-bugs
