Hi and welcome to the project! Always great to see a new developer. If you haven't already it is advisable to join the mailing lists, especially tp-devel. You should also ask mithro or lee for a darcs account and to create a new libtpproto-java project. Also don't forget to create an account on SourceForge.net so that mithro or lee can add you to the list of developers and give you some rights like ability to release files of new versions. The main document you will need for your work is the protocol description: http://www.thousandparsec.net/tp/dev/documents/protocol3.php If you fins some error in it or if something is not explained or if something could be done better (in next version) don't be shy and file a bug report about it. Also join us on IRC, we hang out on Freenode network in #tp channel. You may also add yourself to the Thousand Parsec Frappr map: http://www.frappr.com/thousandparsec and if you have a blog and will be writing about working on Thousand Parsec (which would be awsome) also tell mithro so he can add your blog to Planet Thousand Parsec: http://www.thousandparsec.net/planet/ Well that's it for now, I hope I didn't forget to tell you something important. In any case you are welcome to ask us anything on IRC, using mailing lists or using the Forum. Welcome again and I hope you will enjoy working on the project. -- JLP's Blog - http://jlp.holodeck1.com/blog/ _______________________________________________ tp-devel mailing list [email protected] http://www.thousandparsec.net/tp/mailman.php/listinfo/tp-devel
