I remember having some problems/confusion with the website early on, but I
honestly cant' seem to remember them. The site feels quite comfortable these
days ;). So, I'll just add in the couple of things that are on my mind now.

"...I would only put an additional sentence or two on the very top of the
page which clearly/visibly states the mission of Thousand Parsec. ..."
- I really like this idea :). A new comer's first thought when they click on
whatever link sent them there is "what the...?" and BAM having it right in
their face is the best thing we could do.

Since no one has said it - the forums are still down. When I was first
looking at TP, they were my second stop - the first being some getting
started / about / FAQ pages. The forums looked great to me at the time, and
many others like myself (at the time) are hesitant to join mailing lists
(btw confusingly just called 'Lists' :p but I noted that looks like it'll
change), or to join an IRC channel if they're not already a regular IRC
user.

Personally, the other thing I like, that notably is not covered much, is the
wiki. Wikis can be great for new people looking for "more info" once they
get a taste of what the project is. They're usually easy to read, and very
easy to navigate - the two things you need when gathering info. Of course,
this would imply further development of the wiki, and more newbie-directed
articles.

While I'm brining up the fancy new web fashions (wikis), why not add a
"blogs" section to the "Communicate" section. I know a few of you have TP
focused blogs. These could add to the active appearance, and open up another
potential communication channel for new comers to ask questions to specific
people in a more... directed setting? And heck, all the cool kids are doing
it ;P. Although.. if the blogs -aren't- active, and/or there are very few of
them, it could just end up looking bad (?).

Completely agree here.

I've been to Plone workshop and so this was my little test to see how it
works and to try things I have learned. Don't be afraid, I always
intended to have Parsek page under the TP page, something like
http://parsek.thousandparsek.net/
