Thanks to the piece of info by karla callaghan on this link,
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=148890!!!

WinRar was the culprit. I did an unzip on Solaris instead and it worked.
Symbolic links were recognized and I'm able to start RAServer now!
