Hi,
Many thanks for your answer.
I've already used the tutorial, and created successfully a launch
configuration.
For the loaders and EMF models, do you recommend some entry points in
the API documentation ?
Thanks again,
Hugo

Hi Hugo,
Unfortunately, there is no tutorial or example for your complete
scenario (see defect https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=87304).
On the agent side, there is source code attach the feature request for
creating your own Logging and Statistical agent in Java by extending the
LoggingAgent class. Next, you can create a launch configuration using the
following tutorial:
http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/platform/documents/tutorials/datacollection/launch-extensions/extending-launch-configuration.html
The loaders and EMF models are public API and the documentation can
be found at:

Hi,
I want to create my own data collecting agent in order to profile
embedded C++ applications, so I looked for an example of an agent with
its own launch configuration and data loader / model / UI. The only one
I found is the tutorial from Antony Miguel and Paul Slauenwhite
(EclipseCon 2005) but it doesn't seem to work with TPTP 4.2.0.2: I
succeeded in making it compile after a little fight (there were old
classes and import issues) but when I launch a java profiling with it
the agent loader generates an exception from the process.launch() method
(it seems that the agent controller can't create the agent).
Are there any tutorial/examples up to date or ready to use with TPTP
4.2.0.2 + Eclipse 3.2.0 ?
Thanks,
Hugo
