Thanks.
However, I can't get that far, and it doesn't provide any troubleshooting if
things are broken.

Hi Rick,
You might want to look at the following document for tips on how you can
speed up the profiler:
http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/platform/documents/speed_profiling/speedUpProfiling.html
Keep in mind that you can also post your questions on the newsgroup.

[tptp-tracing-profiling-tools-dev] Profiler locking up - how to
troubleshoot
Where should I be looking for troubleshooting help or information?
I am trying to use TPTP 4.3 to Profile an application within Eclipse.
If I turn on more than one of the monitors, say memory and execution
statistics, the profiler stops working part way through my program run.
>From that point until I restart Eclipse, the profiler won't even let my
program get through its startup sequence.
I am using both an up to date 3.2.1 Eclipse install, as well as a
separate MyEcliplse 5.1 install. Both are hooped when I try to profile
my application.
