Neil,
Based on the prior threads I am assuming you are planning to do
development/extend the JVMTI profiler. To set up your development
environment
a) Download the TPTP_all_in_one
<http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/tptp/4.4.0/dev/TPTP
-4.4.0-200702260100/tptp.runtime.allInOne.win32.win32.x86-TPTP-4.4.0-200
702260100.zip> package (available for Windows - or download the TPTP
Client
<http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/tptp/4.4.0/dev/TPTP
-4.4.0-200702260100/tptp.runtime-TPTP-4.4.0-200702260100.zip> and
install the "requirements" for TPTP i.e. Eclipse SDK, JRE and EMF)
b) Since you are planning on modifying the runtime or the client -
You will need the following Plugins available from the TPTP CVS
repository into you workspace. (Please look up the TPTP web site on
obtaining access to the TPTP CVS repository)
                                org.eclipse.hyades.analysis.engine
                                org.eclipse.tptp.platform.jvmti.runtime
                                org.eclipse.hyades.execution
                                org.eclipse.hyades.execution.trace
                                org.eclipse.hyades.logging.core
                                org.eclipse.hyades.statistical.ui
                                org.eclipse.hyades.trace.ui
                                org.eclipse.hyades.trace.views
                                org.eclipse.hyades.ui

org.eclipse.tptp.platform.agentcontroller
                                org.eclipse.tptp.platform.common
                                org.eclipse.tptp.platform.common.ui

org.eclipse.tptp.platform.common.ui.trace
                                org.eclipse.tptp.platform.execution
                                org.eclipse.tptp.platform.jvmti.client
                                org.eclipse.tptp.platform.la.core
                                org.eclipse.tptp.platform.logging.events
                                org.eclipse.tptp.platform.models
                                org.eclipse.tptp.trace.jvmti.client

Let me know if you need additional info.

Thanks,
Guru

Subject: [tptp-tracing-profiling-tools-dev] Development setup

Hi Guys,

As you might know I'm getting started hacking on a project involving
TPTP. I'm just wondering the best way to setup my development
environment.

There are a load of modules in CVS and I'm not sure what I need. Would
it be more sensible to install all of the TPTP plugins into an Eclipse
install and start from there?

Thanks in advance!

Neil Dunn
