Hi Bram,

You can use the Profile on Server feature of TPTP to profile your Java
application running on a JBoss AS. Here are the information for using the
feature:
online documentation: An introduction to Profile on Server
(http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/tutorials/profileOnServer/TPTP-WTP.html)
video : Profiling a WTP web application using the TPTP profiling tool
(http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/quicktour/v43/WTP_viewlet20061206/WTP_viewlet20061206_viewlet_swf.html)

Note that Java 6 only support JVMTI profiling and Profile on Server will
support JVMTI in TPTP v440. In the meantime, you will have to use JVMPI
which is available in Java 5 and below.

Let me know offline if you need help setting up your environment.

Subject
[tptp-tracing-profiling-tools-dev] java 6 support

Hi all,

Disclaimer: I'm a newbie with TPTP.

My question is, how can I get a java application (J2EE) running on a JBoss
AS profiled by TPTP? I've downloaded and installed the New Technology
Agent (but I don't know if the configuration is correct), and when I start
profiling the JBoss with java 6, I get a message that this interfaces is
no longer supported...

Can someone help me with this?
Tanks,

Kind regards,
Bram_______________________________________________
