Project and Component Leads,
As you know, we will be testing the 4.4.0.1 candidate driver
(TPTP-4.4.0.1-200707090100) over the next several days. For some projects
(e.g. Test Project), this test pass will consist of smoke testing the
candidate driver on various OSes and JREs. Since we will need to generate
test reports on the 4.4.0.1 test pass, instead of modifying our full test
bucket, we have created root-level test suites for patch/smoke/maintenance
release testing, initially empty.
ACTION: Component leads need to create associated AllSmokeTests.testsuite
test suites in their components and reference them from the root-level test
suites:
-\test-results\platform\org.eclipse.hyades.tests\AllGUISmokeTests.testsuite
-\test-results\platform\org.eclipse.hyades.tests\AllJUnitPluginSmokeTests.testsuite
-\test-results\platform\org.eclipse.hyades.tests\AllJUnitSmokeTests.testsuite
-\test-results\platform\org.eclipse.hyades.tests\AllManualSmokeTests.testsuite
Smoke test suites should include existing test suites/cases,
specifically covering:
-All major use cases.
-Windows XP and Linux.
-IBM JRE 1.4.2 and 1.5.0 on Windows XP.
-All automated test cases.
The 4.4.0.1 test pass reports will be posted on the 4.4.0.1 tab of
the 'TPTP Reports for R4.4.0' site:

This work is being competed under the following defect:
Define and implement smoke test suites for TPTP.

I will update the TPTP Testing Strategy and notify the projects after
4.4.0.1 is released with the final changes in the testing
process/structure. Please feel free to contact me if you problems creating
your component's smoke test bucket.
