PMC:

As we are moving to TP2 / TP3 for TPTP 4.6 I3, we are asking for approval
to defer some P1 defects from TPTP 4.6:

Test Project

There are three new TPTP 4.6 defect deferrals for the Test Project (note,
defect https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=64786 on the original
list has been fixed):

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=237946 Can't delete
Plugin-project completely some times in Test perspective: Insufficient
time for Jerome to complete this defect. This defect represents a corner
case (periodically cannot delete a plug-in project containing a TPTP JUnit
plug-in test in the Test Navigator). This defect may impact some
consuming products.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=273121 Test launch fails if
user selects to overwrite existing test log, but has existing test log
open in editor: Insufficient time for Joe to complete this defect. This
defect an extension of the fix for TPTP 4.5.2.1 defect
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=273515. This defect impacts
some consuming products.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=133099 Providing the ability
to record user's interactions with GEF objects in a GEF editor: After
reviewing the open-source community contribution, the risk is too high
(excessive API changes) to deliver the patch in TPTP 4.6 since TPTP uses
the AGR for internal testing. As such, we will build an AGR plug-in with
the patch and attach it to the Bugzilla for the open-source community
use/testing. This defect does not impact any consuming products.

Platform project

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=254487 Profile on server
fails with segmentation fault error with IBM JVM:
We tried the fix from the JVM team. It seemed to improve the situation
(in an application that used to crash right the way), it does not crash
right the way
anymore. However, it still crash after the application was left running
for a while. The JVM team is investigating this second symptom of the
problem.
Depending on the JVM team's progress, we might not have the complete fix
for TPTP 4.6 timeframe and might have to defer this.

Please let us know if you have concern about the deferral of these defects
from TPTP 4.6.
