Hello,

I discovered today Zenoss. It looks cool and I'm interesting on it.
I was writing a managment/discovery tool using ruby (greate language)
but it needs more time than I have.

I noticed that in dev wiki page you're looking for strategies to map
layer2 connections.

http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/wiki/LayerTwoMapping

I have successfully discovered my network topology informing the
router IP (about 20 managed switches, 3 routers, 1 load balancer, some
umnanamed switches) using the tool I implemented. I would like to share
this knowledge or even develop it for Zenoss.
