Hi All,

I am Deen. I am a Ph.D student at Portland State University. I am
preparing a proposal for the Google Summer of Code 2007. Trac is the
project that I propose to contribute to. My planned contribution is
to add new features into Trac to help users track the estimation of
tickets and effort spent on each tickets, ability to group tickets
into feature. Introduce new ticket's field to help with analysis, and
ability to create tasks for each ticket.

This doesn't seem to be useful for open source project but planning
and tracking activities are very important for commercial software
projects. I would also like to implement metrics and analysis
capability using the data collected by Trac. The scope of the project
might be too big at the moment but I will refine it as I gain more
insight to the project. I plan to use Agile approach to develop these
features.

Could you please let me know if this idea is along the Trac's road
map? I just started using Trac a month ago. It is the very promising
tool. At my project we have to use 3 tools to do what Trac does. And
they are not fully integrated.

Best Regards,
Deen
