Hello,

I've used trac for 2+ years and I like it very much. But I found that
I always need a mailing list to go with a project. GNU mailman is a
great mailing list program but it is not integrated with trac. Nor
is google group or any other mailing list for that matter.

What I have in mind is a project mailing list that can be searched on
trac and cross-linked from tickets and/or wiki pages with a simple
syntax. I searched trac web and googlegroup and did not find similar
entries. Was this discussed before? Any plans to implement it?
If it is not a totally crazy idea I'd like to give it a try to
implement it. A preliminary thought is using an mail alias to
gather the mails and store on http://trac.foo.com/mail/number
where number is a positive integer. The mail can be hyperlinked
with a syntax like @number.

Comments are appreciated!
