Hi Shane, > I'd like to get involved in testing prior to releases
Your offer is much appreciated, and we're happy with all the help we can get. > My larger concern is with postgres support since it doesn't > seem many of the extension authors test with that. This seems to be the case, unfortunately. > I've been submitting > patches to get several of them working, and just reopened ticket:7600. I have noticed that. Unfortunately, I don't use Postgres at the moment, so I will not be able to test the patch myself, but I'm sure Jonas or one of the other developers will test and apply the patch shortly. I'll try to set up a Postgres environment for future testing. > I'd also like to receive svn commit emails so I can be aware of what > changes are happening. If someone can help guide me in getting started > with helping out, that would be great. Most people interested in following Trac development subscribe to the Trac timeline RSS feed. I don't think t.e.o has been set up to send commit e-mail. As for getting started, you are doing great: you have found an issue, reported it with a patch, and you would like to help testing. We need to polish our release process, possibly by introducing a longer testing period before releasing, and we will be happy to include you in the process. Thanks for your help! -- Remy
