Hi, I just wanted to post a note on this list regarding a small project for trac on Ubuntu that I've completed a beta version of recently. It's called "orangeblueprint", and the release can be found on sourceforge. ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/obpubuntu/ )
It grew out of my attempt to learn a PHP RAD framework (Prado), and ended up being a useful web front-end to setup and administrate TRAC projects, and their associated Subversion repositories. The web interface allows a system administrator (and optionally, anybody else) to create trac projects, users, and idea postings, and then add/remove users from projects. The software sets up svn+ssh:// style access to SVN repositories, with each web user having a shell account on the machine. The software package has been built for Ubuntu (designed for a Virtual Machine setup, but not necessary of course), and can be installed in a few minutes. Current testing has been done with trac 11.4. It could easily be tinkered with to install on other Linux distros. Anyhow, I've only done some small-scale testing, so if anybody wants to try out the package on a fresh Ubuntu install, I'd be happy to get some feedback on it. The project is only a beta at this point, and the documentation isn't stellar yet, but there is a README file in the top-level directory of the project which explains how to install the software. cheers, Dave --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Trac Development" group.
