The most likely reason you didn't use any of the sample plugins was,  
that it is too hard to install and enable them. Which is the whole  
point of this proposal. Avoid installation of stuff that should be in  
in the distribution anyway, and make enabling it easy.

But in Remy's last mail we all came to an agreement it seems.
