Wow Ethan. I'm in awe. Really.

I had the Bloodhound discussion @ incubator mailing list bookmarked so
whenever I revisited I found no new posts. I figured the Apache
Incubator discussion had died down for the holiday, and would pick up
in the new year. I did not notice the pager appearing in the archives
at some stage (how dumb can users be!), so the mails with votes +
result on page 2 was unseen by me when I wrote the "uncertainty post"
that sparked this new round of discussion. If I had seen it, I may not
have posted figuring this was over-and-done with. I am glad I did
write, as this thread certainly is a testament to the interest that
Trac still has in the community.

Your summary is extremely accurate and well-documented. There is one
minor "OR" that need not be in there: As to my knowledge none of the
private communication included demands for Trac commit privileges.
Taking Trac to Apache was a hard requirement from the start, and at no
point did WANdisco express any interest in working with the Trac
community in its current form. Either move us, or replace/duplicate
us.

I hope the Apache Incubator & Bloodhound uses this information to
build a better project. Now that they have given life, I certainly
hope they can make the effort to spread some meat onto its thin
bones...
