I've downgraded:
* subversion to 1.2.3-r2 (was 1.2.3-r3, 1.3.0-rcX; didn't work with
<1.2.3-r1 as well)
... and recompiled SWIG to be on the safe side.
But beware: subversion 1.3.0 has serious bugs with SWIG.
Anyway, my apologies and thanks for your effords!
