 I am not comfortable in closing this bug. In my case, mod_python, apache,
 trac, and sqlite are all installed by darwinports, and I'm quite sure they
 do not use bits from the system.

 I suspect that the reason things bust under mod_python, and not under
 tracd (which I can confirm) is that mod_python is a different environment,
 and perhaps allows more concurrency than does tracd.

 My current workaround for this issue is to run tracd, with access through
 apache's mod_proxy.
